8-Hours Security Guard In-Service Training Program (G-80010) [05/05/2025]

Description

This training has been designed for security guards who have a CURRENT Security Guard Certification and fulfills the mandated continuing training requirement for subsequent renewal application requests.
This training program is authorized by the by Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission staff as approved security guard continuing training.

Maryland requires 8 hours of continuing training for all licensed security guards.

• ICP instructors are authorized by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission staff to provide approved security guard continuing training for America’s growing security guard professionals.
• This course covers the training mandates required through State regulations.
• Our security guard training programs are designed to assist in developing an enhanced security posture to fulfill the needs of our clients and communities served.
• Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate of completion will be provided as supporting documentation that demonstrates successful completion of the mandated training.

CLASS POLICIES  

REGISTRATION POLICY:
Prior to attending a class, students must register online via ICP’s website to reserve their seat. Full payment of the class fee must be made at the time of registration. Registrations without full payment will not be accepted, nor will they be placed on hold.  Upon successful registration, students will be emailed a registration confirmation which will include a unique QR code with each student’s information.  This QR code serves as the student’s ticket to the class and provides access to class-specific materials.  

REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY:
All class fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, unless a class is cancelled by ICP. For avoidance of doubt, ICP will NOT issue any refunds or transfers for students who are late to class (late arrivals), for students who leave early from class (early departures), or for students who do not show up to class (no-shows), regardless of the circumstances. Additionally, ICP will NOT issue any refunds or transfers for students who cancel their class (cancellations). To reschedule, all students must re-register and re-pay the class fee in full. No exceptions will be made.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire duration of class. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled start time and not a minute later. Therefore, students should plan sufficient time for traffic congestion, parking, and to take care of any bathroom, nutrition or hydration needs prior to the start of class. Students who arrive late to class (late arrivals) will NOT be admitted into the classroom. Students who leave class prior to completion (early departures) will be immediately disqualified. Please keep in mind that NO refunds or transfers will be issued for late arrival or early departure students, regardless of the circumstances. No exceptions will be made.

ICP CANCELLATION POLICY:
ICP reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. If ICP cancels a class, all registered students will be contacted as soon as possible at the phone number and/or email address provided at time of registration. If you are registered for a class that is cancelled by ICP, you will receive a full refund. Unfortunately, we are not able to reschedule/transfer any students at this time.

TRAINING WAIVER: Limitation of Liability and Copy Restrictions
Intelligence Consulting Partners, LLC, a registered Maryland Limited liability Company, herein referred to as ICP, its managers, directors, officers, employees, contractors and heirs thereof shall be held harmless and without liability for any errors omissions relating to any training product, information, or document prepared by, for or with the assistance of ICP or for the actions, activities or omissions stemming from or relating to any training product, information, or document prepared by, for or with the assistance of ICP, undertaken by any person or persons having received that training, information or document, including contractors and subcontractors of the client or employees.

The Client’s participants and facility, agrees to be photographed and/or filmed while participating in said services conducted by Intelligence Consulting Partners and grant Intelligence Consulting Partners and its assigns and their affiliates and successors (collectively and hereinafter “Assigns”) all right, title and interest to and permission to copyright, use publish and republish photographs/films of the facilities, participants and training operations during this instruction course, and negatives and reproductions thereof, in any form, whether in whole, part or composite form, electronic, digital or conventional; blurred, altered or distorted; in color or black and white; video or otherwise for advertising, newsletters, marketing brochures, training materials and marketing materials, internal and external distribution or any other lawful purpose in any lawful manner anywhere in the world and/or on the worldwide web. Furthermore, the Client waives any right to inspect or approve any final product of photographs/films.

The Client hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless ICP, LLC, its officers, agents and all employees and volunteers, from any and all claims for bodily injuries and personal injuries to the public, including cost of investigation, all expenses of litigation, including attorneys’ fees, and the cost of appeals arising out of any such claims or suits, because of any and all acts of omission or commission from ICP, LLC parties. The client understands that ICP, LLC acts as a consultant reference based on current trends and experiences and cannot be held accountable for circumstances which may occur that affect the safety of personnel.
