12-Hours Initial Security Guard Training is for individuals seeking initial certification as a security guard.

Maryland requires 12 hours of initial training for all security guards.

ICP instructors are authorized by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission staff to provide approved security guard continuing training for America’s growing security guard professionals.  

• All courses are tailored to address current threats and educational demands.
• Upon successful completion of this course, a certificate of completion will be provided as supporting documentation that demonstrates successful completion of the mandated training.
• Attendees must attend both days of training to obtain certificate.
